Under 16 and Under 19 Basketball vs Coláiste Ráithín

Under 16 Girls' Basketball:

On the 7th of October, the u16 basketball girls traveled to Coláiste Ráithín. They warmed up eager to get started. Moya Marrinan opened the scoreboard with two free throws. The girls put up a battle as the Coláiste Ráithín girls shot some baskets, but the girls kept the score board ticking with great baskets from Niamh and Ella. Despite this, the girls went into the third quarter 7 baskets down.

The girls kept their heads up and kept fighting till the end but Coláiste Ráithín came out on top, finishing the match with a score of 22-15.

Under 19 Girls' Basketball:

The U19 girls got stuck in from the start. Coláiste Ráithín scored off the back of multiple shots but the girls put up some great defence. Aoife Fox got the scoreboard ticking with a great 2 pointer, which was quickly followed by 2 baskets from Gabby McKenzie. The girls worked hard going into the third quarter they were only 6 points down. The girls kept their heads held high and persevered on with another 4 points coming from Lily Cullen and Beth Deery. Although it wasn't the girls' day, they didn't stop until the end. A big shout out to Moya Marrinan who played up with the U19s and scored a basket.
